Official Notification
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection publishes the official advertisement detailing vacancies, exam structure, registration fee, eligible age limits, and reservation specifications for 11 public sector banks.

- Verify the age limit cutoff date.
- Confirm the bank-wise vacancy distribution.
Application Start
The online registration portal opens on the official IBPS site. Candidates can fill out the form, upload documents, select category, bank preferences, and pay fees.
- Have marksheets, category certificates, and ID proof ready.
- Scan photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration in exact dimensions.
- Formulate your bank preference list beforehand.
Application Last Date
The final day to submit your online application and pay the application fee. No changes to the application form are permitted after this date.

Admit Card (Prelims)
Admit cards for Phase 1 are released online. They contain your exam center name, venue details, shift timing, and roll number.
- Download and print two color copies of the call letter.
- Affix a passport-size photograph exactly matching the one uploaded.
- Check the location of your exam center on Google Maps beforehand.
Prelims Exam
A 1-hour computer-based test comprising English (30 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (35 marks), and Reasoning Ability (35 marks) with sectional cutoffs.
- Carry printed admit card with photo affixed.
- Bring original photo ID proof and a clear photocopy of it.
- Keep a blue/black ballpoint pen for rough sheets.
Prelims Result
IBPS publishes the list of candidates shortlisted for Phase 2 Mains (approx. 10 times the vacancy count).
- Look up your registration/roll number in the official result portal.
- Check the sectional and overall cut-off scores once scorecards are released.
- Begin full-length Mains mocks immediately.
Mains Exam
A 3.5-hour test: 3 hours objective (200 marks) + 30 minutes descriptive test (25 marks). Marks scored in Mains determine your final merit listing.
- Bring original ID proof and photocopies.
- Mentally prepare for high-difficulty data interpretation and logical reasoning questions.
Interview
Personal interview (100 marks) conducted by a panel of senior banking officials. Focuses on banking awareness, current affairs, and personality assessment.
- Prepare formal business attire.
- Revise financial current affairs, RBI policies, and basic economics of the last 3 months.
- Practice mock interviews to build confidence.
Final Result
IBPS publishes the final allotment list of provisionally selected candidates based on the 80:20 normalized weightage of Mains and Interview scores.
- Check the final list for your roll number and bank allotment.
- Receive the offer letter from your allotted bank.
